Ready. Set. Virgine.

by Corey Scott Arter

Just as its name suggests, VIRGINE is indeed something ‘pure’ and ‘new’.  After years of conceptual development and planning, the premier issue is at long last available to magazine aficionados everywhere.

Despite the nearly overnight digital-reader zeitgeist and the higher costs of print publishing, the magazine’s creators have opted in favor of tradition.  Just yesterday, the nearly 200-page print publication hit newsstands in Manhattan, appropriately positioned alongside other esteemed publications, including Elle, Muse, British Vogue and Numéro, to name a few.  Meanwhile, developers are steadily working toward the release of a digital version for iPad and other digital reader devices.

While VIRGINE may be taking the print/digital binary approach that has seemingly become the new standard in publishing, the publication itself is anything but traditional.  This bright new periodical will undoubtedly shine as an innovative and collaborative platform for the next generation of designers, photographers, artists, and creatives alike, from all walks of life.
